Carinthia is becoming increasingly popular as a winter sports destination, especially for families, and as a family with young children we understand this very well. Due to the location of the slopes on the south side of the Austrian Alps, you always ski on the sunny side of the mountain - how nice is that! The Dreiländereck ski area is located close to Casa Drei Mädel: not too large and therefore ideal for families with (smaller) children. You will find more than 17 kilometers of slopes that are connected by seven lifts and there is a special cross-country ski trail. If you want to go down the mountain in a different way, go to the Mitterehütte where a toboggan run starts: in a 'ride' of about 8.5 kilometers you can toboggan down the slopes and mountain paths.

Sunny slopes, southern hospitality

If you prefer to ski in a larger area, get in the car and drive, for example, to the mountain station at the Nassfeld plane. With no less than 110 kilometers of slopes, this is the largest ski area in Carinthia - and just a 35-minute drive from Casa Drei Mädel ! Here too, sunny slopes, southern hospitality and culinary delights. Did you know that the ski areas in Carinthia have more than 100 more hours of sunshine than other destinations north of the Alpenkopf ridge?

In total, there are more than 30 ski areas in Carinthia and East Tyrol with a total of more than 800 kilometers of prepared slopes, many kilometers of unspoilt slopes for deep snow enthusiasts and numerous mogul slopes and half pipes. Thanks to state-of-the-art snow cannons, the slopes are absolutely guaranteed of snow from November until well into spring. In addition, you can ski more than 300 days a year in the Mölltal Glacier ski area.
